MY WHY?
Well to tell you that let’s start with a little back story (for those here for the tea on me quitting my job, grab your popcorn and pull up a seat)
A Little known fact about me is that I have a degree in Electrical Engineering. Immediately after school I began working as a digital consultant for a top consulting firm.
I lasted about 10 months when one day I was at the office and received news that another unarmed black man had been shot by the police. Meanwhile there I was essentially doing busy work that was having no real impact on the world around me.
In that moment I came to a cross roads. I could either continue down this path that held no space for my creative expression and made no progress towards collective liberation. Or I could choose differently.
So I got up and left, in the middle of the day, and never went back.
Since then I have lived many different lives…
I’ve traveled to and lived in different countries, started several different businesses (and failed at a few). Gotten ANOTHER degree (Master’s in Counseling Psychology), studied so many different holistic healing modalities (yoga, Chinese medicine, western psychology, African spiritual traditions ). And many other side quests along the way.
Alongside these beautiful experiences I have also been an observer of the increasing heaviness of this world - environmental crisis, wars and genocides, corrupt governments, you name it!
Which now brings us to…
My Why *
During all of these many experiences I came to the conclusion that:
Creativity is the key to our collective liberation - we must CREATE the world we want to live in which means that it is time for creative business owners like YOU to step fully into your calling and bring your ideas to life. And I am here to help!
The experiences I’ve had over the past 10 years since i left that job have brought me into contact with so many creative, brilliant, and talented people. While I’ve met a few who have found success in their creative businesses. I encountered so many more who were squandering their gifts because they lacked the practical infrastructure necessary for their creative business to thrive.
In fact, I was one until I had that moment where my desire for better overpowered my fear of change. And so I did just that, I changed. I integrated everything that I had learned from all of my travels, studies, failures, and experiences into my own life.
I took time to lay a solid practical infrastructure for my life and my business in a HOLISTIC way (e.g. creating systems, strategies, and workflows that align with the cycles of nature and are sustainable for my own energetic constitution).
