As a multi-passionate individual, with a very diverse educational and experiential background spanning 9+ years, I have traversed a wide variety of creative landscapes. Over time and experience I have been able to develop a profound understanding of the creative process and what it takes to turn an idea into a reality. Each of my experiences have equipped me with skills and knowledge that I now use to support my community in turning thought into sustainable action in order to actualize their creative visions. I now channel my analytical, organizational, problem solving, communication, relationship building, and organizational skills into my service offerings as a project manager.

Nature School -
Merida, Mexico

The intention for this project was to create a nature-based schooling program geared towards homeschooling families in Merida, Mexico. The program catered to students ages 18 months to 8 years old. Students had the opportunity to participate in apprenticeships for gardening, beekeeping, ceramics, theatre, and baking. The goal was to provide a non traditional learning environment where students could learn through participation in practical and creative endeavors

7 months total from idea phase to launch; 3 months post launch systems implementation and maintenance

MY ROLE

  • Crafted and implemented a detailed project timeline to ensure the successful launch of the nature-based school program within a 7-month timeframe, ensuring all milestones were met including: location scouting, curriculum development, and staff training

  • Decomposed the project into distinct phases and systematically organized action items, enhancing clarity and focus on project objectives

  • Monitored and guided the project team to stay on track with deliverables, utilizing effective communication and follow-up strategies to ensure timely completion

  • Designed and maintained a comprehensive Notion database to monitor project progress, providing real-time updates and facilitating streamlined project management

  • Created and managed contractual agreements and comprehensive handbooks for both staff and families of attending students, ensuring clarity and compliance with program policies

  • Organized and executed multiple community events, including an open house and community fun day, to market the program and foster community growth and engagement

  • Accurately recorded and maintained detailed notes of team meetings, ensuring consistent communication and effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle

  • Developed organizational systems and frameworks for the day-to-day life of the school and staff duties and responsibilities

  • Achieved a successful program launch within the established timeline, with all project deliverables met

  • Secured pre-enrollment of 22 students, surpassing initial enrollment targets.

  • Generated positive revenue within the first month of operation

  • Efficiently onboarded and trained a team of 9 staff members, ensuring they were fully prepared and aligned with program objectives
