Grounded’s Informed Movement Sessions are conceived form the idea that the body will always tell us exactly what its needs are; and empower us to manifest the tools necessary to fulfill them. An issue that many of us face is that we do not understand the language of our bodies; because we have not been taught how to listen to our bodies. The intention of Grounded’s Informed Movement sessions is to walk you through a process of allowing your intuition and intention to guide your movement. In simpler terms, you will receive support in cultivating a relationship with your body so that you can begin to listen to/understand how your body communicates with you. Techniques for these session come from some of the following modalities: Yoga Joint mobility Movement Therapy Somatics Each session will begin with a body scan meditation to help you connect with your body and allow your intuition to guide to which areas need focus during the session. Following this, we will take some time to reflect on your current mental and emotional state and how they are felt in your body. This will help to build awareness of the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Finally, we will use this information to set your intention and begin our intuitive movements.
